There is still time to register for this fun dinner and networking event! The North Suburban Library System Special Librarians Networking Group (NSSL) invites librarians and related information professionals working or living in Illinois to connect with others who are interested in topics that relate to this area of librarianship. This evening’s event includes networking, dinner, and a presentation by NSLS favorite instructor, Marianne Rowe-Dimas, of The Image Factor and Harper College. Marianne will present a fun program on the “10 Best Practices for Networking,” both on the job and in your personal life. (This program is also perfect for those special librarians who want to learn to utilize networking as part of an employment search.) Marianne regularly facilitates this popular program at public and academic libraries, and it has been a featured story in both the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Herald. Marianne is a co-author of the First Job Survival Guide (JIST Publishing). She received her certification as an image consultant from the internationally-known London Image Institute, and is a current member. Some of Marianne’s other clients include companies in the airline, entertainment, finance, food service, sports, technology and travel industries. 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Networking and Dinner6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Brief NSSL meeting6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. ProgramWho Should I Contact if have questions? For more information about joining (or becoming more involved with) the NSSL Networking Group, or for questions about this event, please contact Debbie Baaske at firstname.lastname@example.org or Donna Tieberg at email@example.com
