Kathy Dempsey, editor in chief of the Marketing Library Services newsletter and former editor-in-chief of Computers in Libraries magazine, will offer why it’s more important than ever to have community partnerships. Not only can they help you reach your goals, but they can also help save your skin and keep you solvent! Kathy will provide all you need to know as to how and why to form alliances and offer 25+ ideas for community partnerships. Role-playing exercises will be incorporated into the morning.

At the end of this session, participants will:
• Have gained lots of ideas for groups or individuals that a library might partner with
• Know how to approach people or groups and get them to listen
• Know what your library might be able to offer a group
• Have any questions answered concerning creating community alliances
