This symposium is limited to the public libraries eligible for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Opportunity Online Hardware Grant.Turning the Page: Building Your Library Community is a two-day professional development workshop that will equip you with the skills, confidence, and resources you need to create community partnerships, build alliances with local and regional decision makers, and ultimately increase funding for your library. This event features dynamic speakers, interactive educational workshops and networking opportunities. all designed to teach you how to become a powerful advocate for your library.
This two day event will be held at the Decatur Hotel & Conference Center.As you make your plans, the general timeframe for the symposium is:Tuesday, October 20 – Plan to drive to Decatur; check in and registration 4:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 21 – Check in and registration starts at 7:30am ---- Breakfast 7:30 – 8:30. The first session begins at 8:30 am. Thursday, October 22 – Sessions all day: 8:30am – 3:30 pm
