This webinar will describe methods for creating library outreach goals that make a measurable impact on your institution’s mission as well as strategies and tools for library outreach assessment. This webinar will focus on academic library outreach, but the strategies can be applied to any library type and setting. Those with some familiarity with assessment and/or outreach will benefit the most from this practical approach to library outreach planning and assessment. Participants will leave with tools that will aid their own outreach planning. Galvin Library at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. She has published on Universal Design for Learning and is working on a book on library marketing and outreach. She has presented on a number of topics relevant to academic libraries, from accessibility to Wikipedia. She currently serves as the co-convener for ACRL’s Library Marketing and Outreach Interest Group.Abby Annala is the Assessment Librarian and Business Research Specialist at Loyola University Chicago. She formerly served as the Marketing and Community Engagement Librarian at the Morton Grove Public Library and studied Library Marketing at Dominican University. She also studied marketing and analytics while earning her MBA at Loyola University Chicago, and teaching Leadership, Marketing, and Strategic Communication to the Library Science Students at Dominican University. Additionally, she’s served on the Library UX Chicago steering committee for five years and is the former convener of Academic Library Marketing.
