Join Elizabeth Lynch, Head of Teen Services at Addison Public Library as she speaks on the teenage brain.
Scientific research has revealed that adolescence is a period of profound change in the brain. Teenagers just don’t think like adults. These differences in the way the brains of adolescents function help explain the baffling and often frustrating interactions between staff and teen patrons in our libraries. Learn what the research says about what we can expect from the teenage brain and how staff can use this knowledge to improve their communication with teens.
