Special Needs and Inclusive Library Services (SNAILS) Networking Group

SNAILS is a networking group made up of professionals from Chicago-area public libraries. We support one another’s efforts to provide specialized services and programs to children and teens with disabilities through collaboration and training. Our meetings and blog are forums to exchange ideas, learn, advocate, and inspire. SNAILS is passionately committed to inclusivity and making a positive impact on the lives of all children.
1. Guest Speaker, Shannon, from Gigi's Playhouse will talk about serving patrons with Down Syndrome
2. Julia Fredrick, shares Deerfield Public Library's partnership with Gigi's Playhouse and NSSRA
3. Northbrook Public Library's Sarah Rustman shares her experience becoming certified as an ADA Coordinator and how she has applied her new knowledge and resources to her work in Northbrook.
