Where:   Fountaindale Public Library (In Person, Max: 40)

Marketing is more than press releases, social media, and posters. It's about the ongoing conversations you have with your current and potential library users.

A marketing plan, which ideally parallels your strategic plan, provides a systematic guide to gathering information, engaging your target audiences, establishing and prioritizing goals and budgets, coordinating themes, creating a timeline, and allowing for feedback and course correction. A written plan can save time and money and significantly increase user participation and support.

Topics include:
-What marketing is and why it is everyone’s job at your library
-Using good project management principles to create and prioritize goals and timelines
-Partnering with library customers
-Using the plan to synchronize the use of staff time and library resources, including money, tools, and meeting rooms

Type:   Workshop

Categories: Marketing, My Library Is, Burr Ridge Area, Joliet Area, Chicago Area

This event is sponsored by Reaching Across Illinois Library System.
