FY2020 Adult Volunteer Literacy Grant Information Session

The FY2020 Illinois State Library Secretary of State Adult Literacy Grant Program applications are being offered in advance of the provision of the state budget. The Illinois State Library makes these grant applications available so that award notification may be released when legislative and gubernatorial approval of an FY2020 appropriation is made. Obligations to fund this grant program will cease immediately without penalty or further payment being required if the Illinois General Assembly or the federal funding source fails to appropriate or otherwise make available sufficient funds.

We strongly encourage all grant applicants interested in applying for the Adult Literacy Grant Program to participate in the appropriate online presentation(s).

At these online meetings, Literacy Office staff will go over the FY2020 application and programming requirements concerning the grant application. The due date for all grant applications is Thursday, February 1, 2019.

The presentation can be accessed from any computer with Internet capability and speakers or headphones. Staff at the Illinois State Library Literacy Office will present live. Questions can be typed in during the presentation.
