SIU School of Medicine serves as a designated Partner Outreach Library with the Greater Midwest Region (GMR) of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM). As such, they provide educational sessions that highlight and promote NLM resources. They primarily provide training sessions on MedlinePLus and PubMed, but touch on other NLM/NIH resources as well. They will also provide links to free brochures and informational materials that are provided by the NLM (and sometimes print copies when available) that patrons might find worthwhile.

The training sessions are typically geared toward library staff and last approximately one hour.

The Chatham Area Public Library District would like to invite other librarians to join them.

For more information contact Alanna Sablotny at 217-483-2713 or asablotny@chathamlib.org, or Amy Byers at director@chathamlib.org.
