Staff who work at Resource Sharing Alliance (RSA) member libraries are invited to attend a group viewing of the SkyRiver demonstration coordinated by RAILS and streamed live from the RAILS Burr Ridge Service Center on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.SkyRiver is a bibliographic utility for cataloging. The demonstration will include basic searching, advanced searching, editing records, macros, verifying authority headings, label printing, exporting, batch searching, and user customization options. After the demonstration, RSA staff will discuss how the implementation of SkyRiver is a decision the RSA membership would make as a consortium. We will also discuss the effect of SkyRiver on cataloging and interlibrary loan operations. RSA anticipates this event to finish at 4:30 pm but may last longer, depending on our discussion. Please note at this time RSA has no plans to implement SkyRiver. The intent of this demonstration is to learn more about SkyRiver and discuss potential implications for the RSA membership. If you are unable to attend this event, the SkyRiver demonstration will also be streamed live on October 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, so you may watch it from your library. The same SkyRiver demonstration is also scheduled for October 25 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please refer to L2 for registration information.
