Digitization Workshop

Whether you are thinking about starting a digitization project or have already begun, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the foundations of the digitization process in these two-part workshops. Digitization experts from LYRASIS will spend the first half of the workshop presenting the basics of digitization and laying a foundation for the process.

During the second half of the workshop, LYRASIS staff will conduct a hands-on review of the historical collection contained at the workshop location's library. Consultants will evaluate the historical value of letters, photographs, and other primary source material, and determine the suitability for a digitization project. This collection review will give you an idea of what content your library may have that might be viable for digitization. The first-half of this workshop will be presented from 9:00-12:00. There will be 90-minute lunch break between the first-half and the second-half of the workshop. The second-half of the workshop will run from 1:30-4:00. Lunch will not be provided.
