Featuring Professor and Associate Dean Linda Smith and
Professor Kate McDowell from the University of Illinois

They will discuss the core curriculum and the students who are choosing to attend GSLIS. What are they learning? How are current library school students different from the era when we studied librarianship? We will gain insight into their expectations, skills, and priorities. Through this discussion, we will learn how to communicate with new graduates more effectively. It's also a great opportunity to engage current and influential faculty with suggestions for the curriculum.
