eRead Illinois: Baker & Taylor Axis 360 Shared Collection Demonstration

Tuesday, October 15, 2013 (10:45 AM - 11:45 AM) Export to vCalendar
Where:   Navy Pier, Chicago (In Person)

Please join us to learn more about the E-Books for Illinois grant project from the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS) and the Illinois Heartland Library System (IHLS). This is a two-year grant project made possible with funding provided by the Secretary of State through the Illinois State Library. The grant was developed to increase access to e-books for Illinois residents and grow e-book expertise among library staff, library system staff, and Illinois residents.
This grant project has several components, including an Axis 360 shared collection for RAILS libraries and IHLS non-SHARE libraries and a 3M Cloud Library collection for IHLS SHARE members. This program is an opportunity to learn more about the Axis 360 component.
There will be a live demonstration of the Baker and Taylor Axis 360 digital content platform with information about how patrons will access the shared collection, technical aspects of authentication, compatible reading devices, ADA compliance and options for adding your own local e-book titles to compliment the shared collection, among other topics.

This event will take place during the ILA Conference in Room 205 at Navy Pier in Chicago.
