Quarterly Literary Fiction Book Discussion

The next meeting of the ARRT Quarterly Literary Fiction Book Discussion Group will be held on Wednesday, July 31, at 1:30 p.m. in the second floor Board Room of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. The book to be discussed will be “Too Much Happiness,” a collection of ten short stories by celebrated Canadian author Alice Munro. The discussion will be led by ARRT Steering Committee member Ted Balcom.
Notes or special instructions for attendees (500 characters or less):
The group will briefly discuss their favorite stories in the collection, and then explore the distinctive characteristics of Ms. Munro’s style. Finally, they will examine in more depth three of the stories, including the long title story. Participants should secure their own copy of the book and read it prior to the program.
