This event is also open to other interested RAILS members. Wonder what impact of NoveList Select is? In the age of reserves and remote patrons what can we do to make our catalogs robust tools full of rich information for readers? How do we reach out to the patron who is HOLD #817 and provide them with additional options? How do we make searching the catalog more like a Garden of Forking Paths – rather than a dead end? (And how do we keep patrons on our site rather than forcing them to leave and go elsewhere for information they want and need?) NoveList Select is a catalog enrichment service that incorporates expert reading recommendations for titles, series, and authors, as well as reader ratings and reviews. Additional optional enhancements include everything from professional reviews to author bios to summaries. There are a few different ways that you and your colleagues may participate: If you cannot attend in person, you can your interested staff attend via webex from your library's conference room. You will also be able to use the chat function in the webinar to communicate and ask questions with Duncan and attendees. Another option is to attend by yourself at your own work station.
