Shelley Stone

Ms. Stone received an MLS from University of Missouri-Columbia and has worked at the Shawnee Library System since 1982. As Technical Services Librarian, she performs original and copy cataloging, database maintenance and authority control, and provide cataloging training to member libraries. This training includes, but is not limited to: Dewey Decimal Classification, Library of Congress Subject Headings, MARC format, local SILNET cataloging module training, and descriptive cataloging for books, sound recordings and videos.
Ms. Stone is an IOUG cataloging trainer and cataloging mentor. She is currently the continuing education chair for Illinois OCLC Users' Group and a member of the Statewide Cataloging Standards Committee.
