In this interactive workshop, Diane Decker of Quality Transitions and Harper College, will address ways to handle stressful situations utilizing problem solving, laughter, and relaxation techniques. Participants will leave with an understanding of the characteristics of resilient people, along with ways to improve their own ability to respond to stress and change. If you have never attended one of Diane’s acclaimed full-day workshops, this is the opportunity to hear what the buzz is about!At the end of this session, participants will: * Understand why resiliency is important * Be able to list the characteristics of resilient people * Know how lifestyle choices can affect one’s overall well-being * Have learned about the five-step approach to managing stress * Have learned some basic relaxation techniques * Know how to re-frame a situation outside of one’s influence * Have identified next steps to take in order to reduce stress
