Spring Ahead into a Library Degree!

Come in from the cold and spring ahead with a library degree! NSLS will be hosting its third annual open house to learn about the "real world" of returning to school for a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. Admissions representatives from Dominican University and the University of Illinois will provide practical information about the application process, financial aid resources to explore, and an overview of each University's program.

Speakers include:
• Donna Dziedzic, Executive Director of Naperville Public Library and past president of the Illinois Library Association. Ms. Dziedzic will discuss how library students can plan for employment and the skill set that employers are currently looking for in job applicants
• Rae-Anne Montague, Assistant Dean, Student Affairs and Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Montague will also discuss the LEEP Program
• Susan Roman, Dean of Dominican University’s Graduate School of Library and Information Science and Christa Raska, Graduate Recruitment Coordinator at Dominican University

Information will also be provided about GSLIS courses that are conveniently offered at University Center in Lake County Grayslake campus and support services for online students.

There will also be an opportunity to network with university representatives and event attendees, and time set aside for a Q&A session. So please have your questions ready!
