In these tough economic times, librarians need inexpensive and efficient ways to continue their education. Libraries also are relying more and more on fundraising and grant writing. This online conference is being hosted by the Alliance Library System and Learning Times and sponsored by SirsiDynix to help libraries meet the challenge of finding funding. This full day online conference will offer a number of programs for beginners through intermediate and advanced levels.

Two keynote speakers will highlight the morning sessions. Peter Pearson, president of the Friends of the St. Paul Public Library,will speak on how the economy is or isn't affecting fundraising. Kitty Pope, Executive Director of the Alliance Library System,will talk about how it takes a team to write and implement a successful grant.

The afternoon will feature a series of "breakout" sessions. DLS will have separate rooms for viewing these sessions which will feature experts from through-out the country.

The DuPage Library System has registered for a group viewing of this conference and there is no charge to DLS members who register through DLS. If you choose to participate in this conference from your own computer, you will need to register directly with Learning Times and pay the required fee.
