Who has the best answers to your school library questions? Other school librarians, of course! Join us on Friday, October 9 for an opportunity to share wisdom and ideas with school librarians from across Rolling Prairie Library System. Get to know other school librarians as you listen to your peers show & tell about books, success stories and more. You will have the chance to share your own successes and ask the group any questions you might have about current needs in your own library.

Possible topics:

  • Favorite library lessons

  • New books that have proved popular

  • I’m always tempted by all those “library lesson” books from places such as Upstart and Demco, but I’m never sure if they are as good as they sound. Bring examples of the good and bad of these library resource books to share with the group.

  • Easy bulletin boards and displays are always in demand. Bring pictures or descriptions of some of your favorites.

  • Have you successfully created a reader’s group in your library? Tell us about the book clubs, library advisory groups, etc. that you are working with.

  • Web 2.0 – Is there a new “thing” that you have found easy, fun, and useful?

  • More, more, more! Bring your ideas and questions and we’ll go from there!
