If your audited financial statements look Greek to you, then you might benefit from Rolling Prairie’s “How To Read An Audited Financial Statement.” Mike Szymkoski, RPLS Chief Fiscal Officer, takes actual audit reports and reviews each part and explains the significance and relevance to library operations. Major topics covered will be the auditor’s opinion, management discussion and analysis and footnote disclosures, as well as the “numbers.” Mike will also discuss briefly the audit process, which will be helpful to those who might be planning for an audit in the future.
