LUNCH: on your own

Discover best practices for 21st century public libraries. Twenty‐one examples and ideas from both public
libraries and other organizations will be shown and discussed.
Examples provided will include such topics as Library 2.0, Web 2.0, facilities, marketing and branding, self‐service, collections, community collaborations, and customer service. The workshop will be interactive and presenters will encourage group discussion of the examples shown.

Learning Objectives include:
1. Explore the key elements of successful 21st century library service.
2. Discuss tools/techniques for successfully serving a variety of library customers, including users and nonusers.
3. Develop an individual library plan for moving forward with proactive 21st century approaches.
