Are you somewhat unfamiliar with English as a Second Language (ESL) resources? Ever wonder what happens to those patrons once they've been referred to outside resources? Get the knowledge and confidence you need to best serve the ESL patron with this workshop.This workshop is designed to help library staff assist ESL patrons and includes: How to conduct an ESL reference interview. Recommended ESL resources (including a core list of materials). Introduction to some of the tutoring groups in the area. Brief description of how to promote the ESL collection with sample brochures and bookmarks.
