The purpose of this conference is to equip and enlighten front line staff persons with training, exposure and techniques that will enable them to deal effectively and efficiently with their day-to-day activities as front line employees. Conference sessions will focus on topics of interest to all types of libraries.

This conference will feature a number of topics relevant to issues facing front line staff.
In addition, attendees are invited to an evening reception, Monday, March 16, 2009, held at the Illinois State Library sponsored by the IOUG offering heavy hors d'oeuvres and a chance to continue informal discussions. To allow conference attendees the opportunity to network with vendors and see new products, a Vendor Fair will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 concurrent with programs.

Step One: REGISTRATION (required)
The registration fee of $15.00 total is applicable to one, two and/or three days of this event. This reasonable fee includes breakfast and lunch (when applicable) and all programs.

Step Two: DATES OF CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE (required)
For meal count purposes, email Mary Ellen McElligott at mmcel1@uis.edu and indicate which days you plan to attend the conference.

Step Three: PAYMENT PROCEDURES

After registering in L2, purchase orders or checks shall be made payable to the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS) and mailed prior to Monday, March 9, 2009 to:

To reserve a room at the rate of $70.00/single or $85.00/double call 1-800-445-8667 or 217-789-1530. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Springfield, 700 East Adams Street, Springfield, IL 62701. Reservations must be made by February 23, 2009 to get this rate.
