Information is being translated into digital formats: e-books, databases, downloadable audio and video materials, and digital images at an ever increasing pace. These formats feed the general public’s desire to find everything online. Steps and advice on how to manage your library’s existing resources and plan for a digital future will be discussed during the North Suburban Library System’s Digitization Symposium. This day long event features two nationally known speakers and a showcase of current digitization projects from various Illinois libraries and cultural institutions. Whether your organization is still charting what course to take in the future, or is currently engaged in a digitization project, this event will help you to respond better to the challenges and opportunities ahead.
