What should new libraries being build take into consideration? What have other libraries done? What are some relatively simple steps that you and your organization can take to be more environmentally friendly? How can you implement those steps in a cost-effective manner?This Click U Live! two-part seminar aims to answer these and other related questions. The first part will present the case for why it is beneficial for libraries to be green, not only from an environmental standpoint, but also from a health and cost effectiveness perspective. We will also look at case studies of other libraries that have taken steps to become more environmentally-friendly, and discuss what worked and what did not work for them and why.TARGETED LEARNERS:This Click U Live! Seminar is designed for librarians, information professionals, and others who are interested in learning how to make their organization more eco-friendly and potentially save money and improve the health of the occupants while doing it. This is an introductory course for those who may have heard of the green movement, and would like to learn about steps they can take to help their organization.
