Make your library Earth friendly! Beth Filar-Williams, created and author of Going Green @ Your Library Blog (http://greeningyourlibrary.wordpress.com/), come to MLS to offer simple, easy to implement, cost saving initiatives that can help make your library more eco-friendly. Beth will also look into larger scale projects, such as green building options. During this workshop participants will explore real-life situations as they create workable, detailed plans of action to take back to their libraries. Topics to be covered include recycling, reducing waste, green building, greener cleaning, travel tips, art projects and other fun ideas, and more.
Learning Objectives At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:Understand the importance of environmentally friendly practices in the library setting Access greening resources to share with other library staff Know of ways to save money, or to possibly earn money, for their library Create an action plan utilizing "greening" ideas that can be implemented at their library
