Being a Library Board member is a wonderful to way to give back to your community and to your library, but some years can be really confusing and overwhelming! Join us as we review some key items that will make you a much more effective trustee and help you to thrive in your role.

Jane Schulten, retired Director from the Crete Public Library District, will offer a levy and budget breakdown to help with the financial side of your responsibilities. Then Karolyn Nance and Dave Barry will lead us through board meeting etiquette and the importance of training and getting involved within the community. This workshop is both a great primer for new trustees and refresher for tenured ones. A light breakfast will be served.
