Registration is closed.In this workshop, Desiree Roman of Roman Endeavors will teach you how to properly execute the responsibilities of an Illinois notary public. There will be a review of Illinois notary public policy and procedures, including guidelines as determined by the landmark Vancura v Katris ruling. This interactive workshop includes proper procedures for identity verification and distinguishing various notarial documents needed to complete a notarization.Desiree Roman is well versed and experienced with Illinois notary public responsibilities and the notarial process. Space is limited to a small group to enable personalized attention to each participant. This workshop is intended for new notaries, library staff interested in becoming a notary or notaries looking for a refresher course. Space is limited to a small group to enable personalized attention to each participant. Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of a quiz at the end of the workshop.
