You've heard of Common Core Standards (CCS) but don't really know what they're about.* But your nearest school library media specialist is thick into CSS support and chances are the kids in the school are already asking for your help.

Chris Balsano will provide a brief CCS overview and will lead a lively and interactive session focusing on web 2.0 tools that support CCS. Bring your own laptop or use one at the library. You will leave this session with:

A clearer view of Common Core Standards

Practical hands-on experience with the same (free) web 2.0 tools used in the school library media center

Enhanced appreciation of the relationship between CCS implementation and your nonfiction collection

A bibliography of go-to sources for more information on CCS

Type:   Program
