Brains: Handle With Care!

Join us for a brain-building morning presented by Dr. Dipesh Navsaria, who is both a pediatrician and a children's librarian. Part 1 of the presentation will show how "Books Build Better Brains" by discussing early brain and child development, early literacy, and non-traditional partnerships that can support early literacy. In Part 2, Dr. Navsaria will explain how "Screens Sabotage School Success," by discussing the research into screen time recommendations, specific factors that affect children's development with respect to screens, and information about marketing to children and its behavioral consequences.

Free Workshop

Open to teachers, librarians, and interested parents. (Adults only, please.) Carries 2.5 CPDUs (Continuing Professional Development Units).
