Mental Illness Awareness for Librarians

Topics covered include, Handling Mental Health Questions at the Reference Desk, Story Times for Children with Mental Illness, Accommodating Those with Mental Illness, the Connection Between Homelessness and Mental Illness in Libraries, and Ensuring Library Access for the Mentally Ill. Program includes video, personal testimony and discussion. Attendees will gain an understanding of those with mental illness while recovering and reclaiming productive lives.
