Create List is the function within Sierra that allows a user to build a query to create a list of records (patrons, items, bibliographic records, etc) that match the criteria that you specify. The list that is created is called a review file. Once a list is created, it can be printed, or exported and imported into Excel for manipulation. PrairieCat libraries that choose to use Create List will have a certain number of review files assigned to their library, based on the library’s collection size. Your library will need to manage use and re-use of those review files internally. Libraries that choose not to use Create List can request that lists be run and supplied by PrairieCat contract staff. Prerequisite: Circulation 1 or Cataloging 1 trainingLogin and password: Only staff with a named login will have access to Create List. Staff must attend Create List training in order to be authorized for Create List. If your login is authorized for Create List, it will be an added function under the Function pulldown in Sierra.
Registrants signed up for the 9:00 a.m. training class at the New Lenox Public Library location must use the back entrance and ring the bell because the library does not open until 10:00 am.
