This class provides an overview of the cataloging module in the Millennium database.Topics include:--Overview of the cataloging module in the Millennium software --Searching the database and using limits to narrow a search--Creating an item record that is attached to the selected bibliographic record to identify an individual library's holding--Editing and deleting item records--Creating multiple item records for the same bibliographic record--Using the Modify Group featureThis class is designed for staff members of GateNet libraries of any experience level. There is no prerequisite. This is an interactive class, combining lecture and hands-on training.This is a required class for all GateNet staff members who will be barcoding or cataloging.
Learning Objectives After attending this class, participants will be able to perform general or focused searches in the Millennium database. Participants will be able to create, edit, and delete item records.
