LEARN (Libraries' English and Reading Network)

LEARN comprises mainly library and non-profit organization staff members interested in providing materials and services to adults learing to read, speak, and understand English. The group meets twice a year to share ideas about providing and marketing services.

For the fall meeting LEARN has arranged a panel of representatives from local organizations that tutor people in ESL so that, as librarians, we can better understand how to support these organizations, including what materials to buy. The panel includes: Lisa Thackeray, Literacy DuPage; Maryanna Milton, People's Resource Center; Ruta Jonusaitis, College of DuPage; and Debbie Bradt, School on Wheels.

Please bring one resource that you would recommend. It could be a book, DVD, website, brochure, idea, etc.
