Putting the Reading into Summer Reading

Every year the summer reading program represents librarians’ biggest investment of time and resources, and our best opportunity to get young people excited about books and reading. Join Thom Barthelmess, curator of the Butler Children’s Literature Center, for a hands-on workshop where we’ll put together ideas for book talks, reading lists, reading logs, programs, and prizes that celebrate books and reading in an enticing and meaningful way.
