The First Search Administration: The Basics

In a lab setting you will get hands on training on the FirstSearch Administrative Module. This web interface allows you to control every aspect of your account, letting you:


  • Meet the needs of your users and staff by customizing FirstSearch in areas such as searching, available databases and resource sharing

  • Integrate FirstSearch with your library services

  • Control FirstSearch costs for your library

Every screen of the Administrative Module will be reviewed. There will be time to look at OCLC Statistics and your OCLC Policy Directory. Please bring your FirstSearch logins and passwords to update the Administration Module as you learn.
