Description:
An introduction to the Serials module in the Millennium software, which is used to record and manage holdings of periodicals and other serials.

Topics covered include:

-Creating, editing, and deleting checkin records
-Establishing basic publication patterns
-Checking in issues upon receipt
-Creating item records from the serials module

Samples will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring:

1. Any new magazines you are receiving that need a checkin record established, and/or
2. Some issues of magazines that already have a record, but you've received new issues that need to be checked in, and
3. Item barcodes, if you barcode your magazines and you want to create item records at the same time as you check in the new issue.
