This class provides instruction in the use of the cataloging module in the Millennium database. Topics covered include:-Exporting bibliographic records from the OCLC WorldCat database into Millennium-Editing new and existing bibliographic records -Deleting bibliographic records This class is designed for staff members of GateNet libraries of any experience level. This is an interactive class, combining lecture and hands-on training. This is a required class for all GateNet staff members who will be barcoding or cataloging.
Learning Objectives After attending this class, participants will be able to export bibliographic records from OCLC WorldCat into Millennium, and will be able to edit and delete new and existing bibliographic records.
Prerequisites Participants must have attended a GateNet Barcoding in Millennium class. Participants should be familiar with the Millennium cataloging module, and should be comfortable with searching both the Millennium database and OCLC WorldCat.
