About

Chicago Public Library System continuing education events for CPL staff only are not displayed on L2. Events listed for CPLS represent events open to library staff and guest statewide.

The Library Learning (L2) calendar is a statewide calendar for events and continuing education taking place in Illinois. Keeping all statewide events in a single calendar enhances the registration process for library member and provides better use of state library resources at both the state library and the library system level.

L2 replaces the Illinois State Library's (ISL) CLeO calendar, as well as participating regional library system calendars. L2 will contain events such as:

  • Illinois Library Day
  • Grant deadlines
  • Grant workshops
  • State and national library conferences
  • System events and continuing education

You may view all events on the calendar or narrow down the view to your system view.

Get Started

In order to begin registering for classes in L2, you will need to create an account using an active e-mail address. Upon successfully registering, you will be able to edit your profile, view the calendar, register for events and workshops, add any additional courses you've completed in your learning journal, and more.

Funding for this project was awarded by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
